Sooooo, with all the EV push, why are automakers not making them solar as well so they recharge while sitting on a parking lot or as you drive? What am I missing?

At least up until now, the weight of the panels added more electricity usage than it generated. That may have already changed with current tech (or will soon with future tech)

I am thinking with current rech it would be light, I can get roll up lightweight ones to power my camper.

And they are supposedly coming out with a version that will have a range of 1,000 miles. That will be cool. I kinda like it, too. Wife HATES it. LOL!
