The people who're saying "be afraid" of Vance, it'll not make any difference or be worse without Trump. No, I don't *know*. No one does. If someone had the proverbial time machine and The Question re: Hitler. Do you think it wouldn't have made any difference? Maybe Himmler'd've done better? 🤷♀️
I figure, it can’t actually be worse. Not really. The authoritarian bullshit will likely continue under Vance but maybe without the cult leader the support collapses. But whether trump is dementia-addled or dead, someone else is already running the show. Worst case, nothing of substance changes.
But also maybe without a figurehead, the guy behind the curtain has a harder job. I don’t know. I’d like to get to find out, bc it’s either better or no worse.
