Not all politicians are venomous snakes. To my way of thinking, remove lobbyists, corporate sponsors and SPACs and just get down to the candidate- not the candidate with the most money.

I've watched our local business people serve on council, become mayor, our mla and sometimes go on to federal mp for our riding. I'm older and have seen them change as they climb. Some have become venomous. Then they're opposition, then in power and hypocritical. Elect who represents you best.
