I'd help.
I'd help.
Very cool it would be a big help. If you could call every Congress member or every Senate members phone number and demand that they conduct this vote maybe get some people to help you what do you think?
I'm a software engineer. There are probably more effective ways I personally could contribute Just saying
Can you pass on your alternative ways to resist? Many people would like to know so they can follow suit. π
*coff* not publicly *coff* not even here on bluesky ;)
More techie, less protestie π Peaceful protests are very effective right now. It always makes Krasnov have a bad day. Same with tanking Muskβs stock values. Makes em both have bad days.
Yeah, that and considering I'm in a wheelchair I'm too much of a liability to other protesters to participate So I stick to what I can do
There is a main gathering area at most protests that are accessible. In Portland, OR, thereβs a smaller protest loop, too.
That's nice to know. Not so much here in Texas
I think it would have to be at the state level to begin with β¦ we donβt have a parlimentary procedure, nor instruction frm the Constitution. But, if enough states move for a national vote, we might be able to drag Congress into action.
I believe that since we are in a crisis, we donβt have to follow norms. In fact, thatβs how we have found ourselves in this crisis. I think we should forge forward. The sooner we can remove the Russian asset/traitor out of our government the better.
I agree with you. Strategically, thinking of Rs currently in Congress, build on discontent at the local and state levels, first. Show the national reps that we mean business, flip a few more swing-district Rs in the House to vote with Ds, second. Stand up elections, third. Thatβs my thinking.
