Why are Apple users always afraid to say they buy it because they like how it looks? That's okay to say.

I mean, there are a number of reasons to say you like Mac. I don't like Mac because of the planned obsolescence and the price. But there are a lot of reasons to like Mac. I just thought it was a little funny that someone was saying they had used it "all morning"... I don't know.

I love Apple's planned obsolescence! I buy Macs for peanuts when they stop receiving updates and put Linux on them.

It’s sad that the last intel MacBook Pros are basically useless with Linux. No wifi unless you add a usb dongle, no audio and no Touch Bar (so no F keys or escape). Oh and it always uses the discrete GPU instead of falling back to integrated, so also terrible battery life. Apart from that, great! 😁

I have a MacBook Pro running Linux Mint, WiFi worked straight off, as did the function keys. Battery is at 50% capacity so life isn't great anyway but who wants to lug around something that heavy in any case? I've got a Microsoft Surface (also running Mint) for that.

More BS. IBM deployed over 300,000 Macs and tracked their costs. Bottom line? While the Macs were more expensive to buy initially their TCO ended up being lower due to reduced service/support costs. But I’m sure you have a personal anecdote that says otherwise. For me, I’ll trust IBMs numbers.
