Striking workers at Pratt & Whitney have lost their health insurance. I condemn this action in the strongest possible terms. This is a huge conglomerate punishing and intimidating workers for exercising their legal rights.

That happens every strike. Insurance is based on working and if you don't work for a period of time you lose it, it's completely standard. Happened to me when I was on strike not too long ago.

Pratt & Whitney is owned by a much larger conglomerate, RTX (formerly Raytheon). I retired from Raytheon 7+ years ago, and from what I’ve heard, they’ve been fucking over their employees more and more, ever since the 2020 Raytheon merger with United Technologies.

My ex was a central engineer and "efficiency" expert at Pratt. Very very anti-union, anti-college, anti "woke". It was alarming and I'm not surprised they're doing this. They are government contracted, expect it to get a ton worse.

This is another good example. Why single-payer Healthcare is the way to go. If everyone had access to healthcare and paid for it through their taxes, an employer would not be able to do this.

Are they working? Are they paying their portion for their health insurance? My auto insurance company doesn’t cover me if I don’t pay. They have the right to strike. The company does not have an obligation to facilitate it.
