When your business model is based on real estate footprint & not health. Consistently, my worst experience living in NYC over 17 years & 4 months was going to Duane Reade.

They also do not ship to my area anymore either. They closed the store that was here a few years ago. I usually get their brand of acetaminophen shipped once a year. Or did. I despise whoever tampered with the Tylenol years ago. Those extra steps to open the bottle is going to cause lots of cussing.
