Palmer would look good with any competent striker. You only have so many moments to make an impression, Jackson has shown himself to be unreliable in the big moment, continuous red cards. The opposite of Drogba, not elite.

I seem to remember Jackson scoring a goal to give us a lead in a European final. Two red cards isn't continous either, for the record.
As Hasselbaink recently said about Jackson: "He gets lots of chances. I'd rather a striker who gets lots of chances than a striker who doesn't. Then we can work on finishing." I still believe the red card against Newcastle was extremely unfortunate because the defender ducked.
i think jackson gets unfairly castigated because the promise is clearly there but his errors / near misses appear so bone headed that it drives people crazy. i think there’s a very, very good player in there that we will regret moving on that provides a different style than delap and joao pedro.
The point is you can’t trust him. We had 1-0 flipped to 2-1 loss, Jackson entrusted by Maresca coming on for Delap, doesn’t last 3 minutes without an absolutely brain dead foul. youtu.be/mXPh3kDGw0Y?...
And this - we lost 2-0 against Newcastle and had to play without him got 3 games fighting for our life for CL qualification. Horrendously unprofessional. youtube.com/shorts/W2b3b...
entirely fair but the question is do you think he can grow out of it - i totally agree with you, the hot headedness and bad decision making are real problems! you have to believe he can mature out of it to be convinced he should stay.
And don't forget this. This was probably the first time I really questioned his character. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oddu...
I don’t care how good he might be, Balotelli had talent too. It’s not enough.
It is just shockingly unprofessional. youtube.com/shorts/jFIEc...
