The other missing piece is what is either called the "mini-recession" or the "rolling recession" of 2015/16. Even though the overall economy was recovering from the so-called "Great Recession" of 2008 (12/2007-6/2009), there was a long lag and then a dip in more heartland areas. Dems ignore this.
