Also, battery-electric vehicles convert 80-86% of the electricity in them to motion; ethanol vehicles convert only 17-20% of their energy to motion. So, a BEV running on solar PV uses 1/80th-1/100th the land to go the same distance as does a corn-ethanol vehicle.

Also! Four of every ten acres of US corn is growing fuel for the ethanol industry, aka food for traffic. That’s an enormous chunk of prime farmland producing zero food for people.
