Gen X klaxon -- So my husband and I both remember a commercial from our childhood. Might have been radio-only (Casey's Top 40?) and maybe regional (central VA/DC). It was for a Spanish language learning product. All we remember are two snippets. Something like... (1/ )
1) I'm sorry, I feel so low. So low I can see into your toe... lo siento! 2) I have a key here. Aqui esta! We quote this CONSTANTLY. So much so that now our kids are doing it, lol. But neither of us can find wtf this even was. (2/ )

It might be a thing often used in Spanish learning? That first one is weird and just doing a search got me to this online quizlet thing that had it as an example.

I stopped listening to American Top 40 around 86 but I don’t remember any commercial like that.
Update: a friend from high school remembered a third snippet: 3) SOCKS = eso si que es. Thinks maybe it was some sort of hooked on phonics thing.
I'm confused by the semi-English semi-Spanish description. Maybe it'll help me remember if the snippets remembered are posted just in Spanish?

They were English-language ads for learning Spanish. To make it easy to learn, the examples were things like... "I'm sorry. I feel low. So low I can see into your toe. Lo siento."
Ah, I misunderstood the direction of the language learning. I was trying to remember the name of the product whose ads were everywhere at the time, but they were for Spanish speakers to learn English. Those were "Inglés Sin Barreras." Looks like they're still around! Amazing. Their commercials.👇🏼
I remember the socks thing as the punchline of a joke, but I don't remember these ads, alas.
For what Is worth, the spanish phrase Is the spelling of the Letters in English but did not mean anything unless you add an adjective as in "eso si que es bueno"

This sent me down a very weird rabbit hole. For like an hour. I found a cassette based series called Speed Spanish made by National Dynamics Inc. They seem to have made commercials like this, but I can't seem to find the commercials/radio spot.
