I assume the plan is to go around looking for a fight until they manage to start one so they can then claim that it was justified to be there in the first place. I fear that if they try hard enough, they will succeed.

I am afraid of the same. The indignation and disgust by the locals has the potential to fester as this drags on. It’ll become a tinderbox as the students trickle in this week & next.
