That looks like a Black and Bloom salvia. Or maybe just a black and blue.

Salvia guaranica?. landscape genius cousin in Texas put the word out and the guaranica was the best guess so..... DING DING DING, I thank you for the answer, Funkypuppet! It's hard, the plant is not blooming yet, so no idea what color to expect, no hints with the bud. 💗😍🎯

It's a great plant, but not freeze tolerant so I have to keep getting new ones. Hummingbirds love, deer don't.
