Yes.He’s 91 now and has been a senator for 44 years, 6 years in House of Reps before Senate, and 8 terms (16 years) in Iowa House of Reps, so that’s 91-44-6-16=25 years old when he got into lawmaking. His .gov bio touts “the longest serving senator in Iowa history” like it’s a good thing.🤔

Not really. He claims to still be a farmer and to have been a sheet metal worker when he was young. He was also an adjunct professor for a few years. He also has a bachelor’s, a master’s and “work on a phd.” He looks like a career politician and a dabbler.
Very interesting. Trump must have something really bad about Grassley to be so complicit. He was not always like this in the Senate.
It’s very baffling to me that these old senators, who aren’t or don’t need to be running again, are so easily pushed around by trump. Imagine being 91 and powerful and moneyed enough that you’ve got yourself covered and you’re still letting the likes of trump push you around. Unreal.
