Stupidity and/or ignorance. People straight up do not understand the harms of capitalism. As for people in positions of power, they are both stupid AND evil. So that's why they want these outcomes.

If you want policies whose outcome is [insert bad thing here] I think it's entirely acceptable to say that the outcome is what they want. If that's an inaccurate assertion they will stop supporting those policies.

Wanting abortion to be left up to the states means you want some women to die preventable deaths if they live in the wrong state. Don't want that? Don't support leaving abortion up to states.

The excuse is that dems in charge support this to and don't want to do anything but a half assed version of it. Which maga will just lie and say that they just secretly want to do something that their base actually wanted. They can still be in denial cause op's play into it.
