The solution to which is the use of force to create a geno-state where Mutants are the only first class citizen and no non-mutant majority can ever have political, legal, social, economic, or cultural power over Mutants, and non-mutants are an inherent exigent threat to Mutantkind, and... Wait.

Very Online Leftists: "Zionism is an evil genocidal ideology that must be exterminated! No history of marginalization or persecution justifies atrocities or ethnic nationalism!" Also Very Online Leftists: "MAGNETO WAS RIGHT!"

Obviously Magneto is morally wrong when he’s an analogue for Jews. But when he’s an analogue for any other group of marginalized people on the planet, everything he does is totally understandable, if not justified.

You cannot trust humans, when other humans come for you no one will step up to save you except other Mutants, so Mutants need to be strong and secure with a militarized unassailable State.

"he has identified and articulated The Problem therefore his solution must be correct OR the authors are putting their thumb on the scale to villainize people opposed to The Problem!" Christ, it's ever-recurring.

I wonder if this is why red-brown alliances seem to happen so readily: because people hear "we agree with what the problem is" and don't care about "do we care about why we think it's a problem" or "do we agree on what a solution looks like"?

Haven't versions of Genosha used literal slave labor? Or am I making that up?

I’m pretty sure it was the mutants who were enslaved, and then they revolted against the Genoshans who were enslaving them, overthrew the government of Genosha, and turned it into a Mutant-Nation. That’s how it went in the TAS, at least, perhaps it was different in some of the comics?

I think that it enslaved mutants as "Mutant South Africa" until Magneto took control, I don't think he used slave labor though.
