It does not remind me of that and I lived through all of it. The people yelling about heavy metal or Doom didn't understand the things they were protesting. The people yelling about LLMs being very dangerous by and large understand how they work *extremely well*.
Not convinced about this. I see a lot of very misinformed people opening opining on the dangers of LLM. It sits alongside every other tech related fear for people spouting absolute nonsense about it.
