That is soo un neighborly. We should be promoting good relationships, but Trump & his people can't really have that. So destroy it they will. SAD! I've heard of that library. It sounded like a cool place I wanted to visit.

So petty and ugly. I feel such grief at the damage these disgusting politics have done to our 80-year relationship of trust and goodwill.

Praying it will end eventually and we can be peaceful neighbors again.

Why do people keep saying an 80 year relationship? Other than burning down the White House in 1812, I think we’ve been pretty good neighbours πŸ˜‚πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Sure, but the treaties and affiliations put in place at the end of WW2 defined a level of trust and mutual benefit that has been unparalleled. And before the WWs, Canada identified far more as Commonwealth. After, our NA relationship was centred in most things. It was special.

We seem to get along well when the US isn’t trying to invade Canada. It was the British who burned Washington, after the US crossed the border, to loot and burn a couple of port towns. I’m not sure if any Canadian soldiers were involved at all; but they’d certainly been given good reason to be.
