Wow! Compare to a mere 8mm in Reading, which prior to last night was on just 4.9mm for August, 9% of the average.

Before yesterday's showers we had 2.2mm in August. Now 68.1mm. Will be interesting to see how far it has penetrated into our desperately dry soils.
