MSNBC last night, one host (can't remember if Chris Hayes or Lawrence O'Donnell) said TX Rep. Nicole Collier refused to leave the Texas House. What planet are they on?? She hasn't refused to leave, she's been illegally locked in by Republicans. And MSNBC is supposed to be the progressive media???

MSNBC has never been progressive. Go through their roster and count the "former" Republicans. They're the most liberal of the big media, but progressive they are not.

So you don't think people can change their political affiliation? If that were true, we wouldn't need to have elections...just keep counting votes from the last one with tweaks for electors who've passed on and new ones who have become eligible to vote. Right??

I think people can, sure. But to look at the lineup and expect them to be progressive is not too realistic. Being Anti-Trump is not the same as believing in progressive ideals.

True, but to say people don't change is another matter. I watched David Jolly change from tea party to Democrat. Personally, I think his change came from experiencing parenthood for the 1st time & having a stake in this country's future. He's definitely more progressive than when he was in Congress.

I never said people can't change. I said MSNBC isn't progressive and it's not.

So your issue is w/use of the word progressive in describing MSNBC or those on MSNBC. I see from where you're coming. My definition of the word may be a bit looser than yours. Fine. For me, it is a comparative situation. Compared to Faux Newz, MSNBC IMO is supposedly progressive. We're good.

Let me go back and recheck in the morning. Didn't you say something along the lines of look at all these so-called former republicans on MSNBC, people don't change? I'll see if I can find your original response and get back to you in the AM.
