how is it a deflection? Most jews in this particular convo don't believe that insinuating PS was instrumental in that band's career (whether true or not) is anti semitic. These are people's beliefs and opinions. Which you keep asking for. and then when you get responses, you cry deflection. Why?
I’ll add that comparing jokes about PS to anti-semites spreading lies about Soros is weak AF. The Soros BS is motivated by antisemitism. The Pete stuff stems from his autobiography where he brags about making bands. Intent matters. Chop would’ve made the same joke if Shapiro’s last name was Smith.
I didn't even think chop was making a joke about Shapiro? he was defending the idea that they're not antisemitic by nature, but alao acknowledged that they can veer into that territory. you don't seem to think people ever have that intent which seems generous
and someone can admit to having a role in other bands success and people can still talk about said Jewish financier in a nefarious, antisemitic way. that's the exact reason I brought up Soros. not sure what's whack af about drawing parallels as I see them, out of genuine concern for antisemtism
