Are you saying queer folks should’ve just stopped at LGBT or is that off putting to you as well? Also what do you call people who are locked up?

Prisoners, inmates.
I still don’t get what’s wrong with “incarcerated people”. Not all of them are in prison. Some are in county jail. How about “jailbirds” or “scaliwags”?
If you think "jailbirds" and "scaliwags" are appropriate terms, because you're an adult and wouldn't use mockery to bolster an argument that other people take seriously, have at it.
tbh, I think the terms inmates & prisoners are FAR less respectful than Incarcerated People. Just like "unhoused" is far more respectful than "homeless". It's not woke or far-left to think so. It's called having respect for the less fortunate.
The "less fortunate" sounds patronizing to me. It's a term that places distance between people. Using "polite" terminology doesn't change the lives of the "unhoused."
Actually “homeless” is not polite, it’s offensive, which is why people who give a shit don’t use it anymore. I’m done with this you’re really not very aware of modern discourse so bye
Does that include Obama? The people who work with the homeless who use the term? 73% of people use the term "homeless", which is and been the common word for many, many decades. Also "vagrant" and "itinerant" were neutral; "bum" was always in my memory derogatory. FDR admin used "transients".
I was homeless years ago. But thanks for ineffectual caring. What really helps the homeless smokers discourse, not creating housing.
Not sure what u mean by homeless smokers
i don't think they're appropriate. on the same level that I don't think there's anything wrong with "incarcerated people" and nobody has explained why it is, in any capacity. I do take the argument seriously. Perhaps even moreso than you?
No, you wouldn't have used words you believe were not appropriate if you take the argument seriously. Jesus used the term prisoners, and I'm pretty sure there were no prisons as we think of them today in Roman Judea. If it's good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me.
Well that explains more about your pov than before, and everything now tracks
