You can still speak to them face to face and express yourself as freely as you like. But you might get a slap in the chops if you displease the person you are talking to.
I get you right though how would you tell if it would displease someone before you even say it.
The difference is face to face you are more likely to moderate what you say and not cause offence than if you are typing anonymously on a keyboard.
That's my worry
