Suppose you want one book to help you immediately improve your legal writing. And you want it to be readable and dirt cheap. Which one? I always recommend picking up a used copy of Style: Ten Lessons in Clarity and Grace, by Joseph Williams. Any edition.

The book is about writing generally, lot legal writing specifically.
