I am in WA but if you see a truck with a BC license plate 95% of the drivers are dudes in turbans
I think I stumbled upon one of these places in Oklahoma City back in 2016. I was there because my dad was in the hospital and I was looking for Indian food in Yelp. I showed up there and it was a gas station that sold Indian food. But it was only cash/independently of everything else.
I love little enclaves, like the Telegu-language only cinema I found in Roswell, Georgia.
There are Tibetans in Santa Fe, where I grew up
There are these pockets all over the place. In NW Arkansas where I grew up there is a large Vietnamese population. I went to school with a guy who told me that after the Vietnam War a bunch of folks who were air lifted out settled there.

Burke Co, NC (Morganton, after Dan’l) has large Lao and Hmong communities, as well as the NA’s co-capital of Waldensianism in the town of Valdese.
There’s a string of truck stops on 10 in east Texas that all mention that their food counters are halal, and it brings a huge smile to my eye every time.
