The California Supreme Court late Wednesday denied a Republican petition to block the state’s new redistricting plan. The decision clears the way for Democrats in the legislature to approve the map, which would then be placed on the ballot in a November special election.

The wording means everything. The bill needs to state a one time override of the map being drawn by the independent commission. Most Californians want fair independently drawn maps based on the 10yrs census. TX is redistricting 5yrs in advance. This balances their unjustified power grab. @msnbc.com

This will not stop at the Texas border. Calls are being made to other Red states to swap seats. The next step will be getting enough Red states to ban mail-in voting or have Congress act before the midterms. Blue states need to push back harder and get independent redistricting nationwide passed.

I didn’t know what redistricting was or specifically why a state would do it, so I looked it up for anyone else wondering and this is what I saw.
The problem with the *Texas* redistricting is that Republicans intend to pervert the system by gerrymandering it (look it up) so that every Hispanic and Black voter (who mostly vote Democrat) gets less of a say than a white voter. Racism; all done to rig the system so that Trump wins again.
