Do you remember the save act? Where women's names do not match their birth certificates so they want to block them from voting even IF they can get a birth certificate. Also, some states do not give certified copies or they are questioned. So there are already multiple checks on each ballot

I have to wonder, can the people proposing (similar with the SAVE Act) even pass the test we give people who are applying for citizenship? Voting is at the local level (city, county, state) and we elect representatives (for House and Senate) to vote on federal issues. RealID already exists.

Changing the federal form will trigger changes at each state, in effect disenfranchising any CITIZEN without required documents. Name changes, etc., will automatically and unnecessarily disqualify vast numbers of voters.

Noncitizen voting in federal elections is already illegal. Audits show it’s extremely rare & usually clerical error. This is a waste of time & money: • Solves a problem that doesn’t exist at scale • Risks disenfranchising real citizens • Adds cost & red tape with no security benefit

It also strongly suppresses female voters of any race. It's the name on your birth certificate in the name on your marriage license don't match, you have to obtain amended documents. Took over 4 months to get a new birth certificate from the state of Texas after paying for the "expedited" rate.
