Are we not concerned by the PM and cabinet possibly taking instruction from lobbyists concerning the human rights of citizens rather than from experts, citizens and MPs representing their constituents? Are we instead going to pivot to discussing "trans issues?"

Talk to people. The majority don’t care one way or the other, it’s not a political issue compared to things that actually impact on their lives, like cost of living etc You need to accept it’s a non issue for a lot of people. It’s not they are anti trans it’s just not important to them

If trans people aren't important to most people, why are trans people important enough for the EHRC to be assiduously urging the stripping of trans rights, and why are trans people important enough for Starmer and Phillipson to support the EHRC while they do this?

The EHRC isn't a court of law, it's an arm's length government organisation which is appointed by the Minister for Women and Equalities, so its composition and therefore what it does is down to the government.
