I have witnessed this happen at the municipal level, so it doesn't surprise me that it happens at other levels of government. It's a disgusting practice.

Most of it I've seen was at the municipal level, when people complain about government corruption in the US local politics is where they should look first. However I've seen it at all levels, including one who scammed the VA hospital with the worst irrigation system I've ever seen.

It's disappointing to hear them complain about taxes, then see them have no shame when they take advantage of taxpayer dollars. It's a very entitled attitude.

Drove me up the wall! I do think we should give more tax breaks to small businesses, but not fucking cut medicare and SS. Corporations make billions and everyone else suffers, it's so stupid.
