Where do they plan to deport him to if he goes to trial and is found not guilty? My guess is that they'll try to deport him anyway.

They’re not going to give him that choice. It’s plead guilty, do hard time, and be shipped to Costa Rica. Or refuse to plead and be dropped in Uganda.
