they probably don’t notice, just like we don’t. maybe the older heads bewail the taste - “you kids will never understand how good this tasted before the Industrial Revolution,” etc - just like the dudes who won’t shut up about 90s hip-hop.

Possibility-- the plastics help make them resistant to sunlight, but also in large enough doses acts like slow acting botox.
