I think “investment” includes capital purchases… so if Trump sells 1billion dollars of Florida condominiums to China , or 1 trillion dollars of farms to Saudi Arabia , that’s all “investment” in the USA

The same way he claims drug prices are down 1500% so apparently now the drug companies pay US to use their drugs!

Not for a second suggesting that this isn't a bare-faced lie, but it doesn't say they took $8tn in tariffs. It says they helped drive $8tn in new investment. Pretty sure it's still a stupid and outright lie though.

Easy, you lie about it

The writer is confusing tariff revenue (from purchased goods) with "U.S. investment." That said, I don't believe any White House claims about the economy.
