Not to be that guy, but isnt this the exact type of thinking that lead to trump getting elected for the right? Shouldn't both sides hold their side to a higher standard than ourselves if we want them to be the leader of the free world.

No, it really isn’t pal. Holding people to too high standards is why the left is so fractured. Holding politicians and leaders to high standards is important as all hell. But holding every person to a ‘either you agree with me 100% or I hate you’ is what has led to the rising right!

And even politicians and leaders are NEVER going to be 100% for you, EVER, to think they need to be led to the right getting Trump over the line. No one serves just you, they serve everyone. Holding them accountable is important but expecting perfection is just asking for failure.

Yeah, but there's a fine line between noone is perfect and "well whats worse, rape or murder?" Like the media clearly cherry picks the 2 candidates it wants in office and then both sides take turns making excuses for the guy the media wants their side to pick. Voting doesnt solve anything never has

Can’t disagree it is a broken system… but the in fighting and expectations of regular ass people to be the ideal lefty and for politicians to capitulate to ever demand, even the ones that contradict each other, leads to the right winning. It’s a crap system but it’s gonna be way worse for yanks now
