It most certainly is a perfect example. Filling or not, you cannot feed a small family on one pizza, deep dish or whatever, for a week. It's incredibly out of touch and a perfect example of the Republicans' let them eat cake rhetoric.

Hyperbole for humor. This is why we always miss the middle voters and can't engage the unengaged. If you make everything a Republican says *the-worst-thing-ever-can-you-even-believe-they-said-this* then no one listens when it actually IS bad.
