wow, interesting experience! unfortunately the fusion of economic and political power is all too common of a historical and social development… it’s particularly acute in my home country… it goes to show that economic democracy and political democracy must go hand in hand

I can certainly agree with your statement. As to the experience, the hardest thing I ever had to do was say goodbye to my family, crawl under the iron curtain and start a new life in a different world. Interesting doesn’t quite capture it. 😊
