I loved those books as a young reader but haven't read in decades.

I also enjoyed the Vesper Holly books, but those are definitely "of their time" and require a youthful eye to enjoy these days.

Oh I really loved these in middle school! I bought a couple of them a few years back but need to dive in when I have time
