Not at all, houses that only cost 3x their salary. Final salary pension schemes, retirement early than the rest of us.

So, a billionaire who has only ever reported $400,000 as actual income and retires at 32 should never pay taxes again. Interesting. Have you suggested this to MAGA, yet? Seems right up their Nazi alley.

Ok fine but as they would no longer contribute to the taxation system we remove their vote from them. Fair right? They’ve done their time right?

Absolutely. Everyone has this stupid idea that pensioners are rolling in cash, it's BS. Small, and I mean small, company pension pushes me into the tax bracket. It seems so unfair after 50+ years of working, especially as I'm 1 of the women screwed over by pension age changes with zero notice

No. The babyboom generation overall has done very well out of the system. Jobs were easier to find. Owning a house wasn't as hugely expensive as it is for first-time buyers now. A lot are sitting on significant assets, & their pensions are protected. Current working generations won't be so lucky.

I'm retired. I have my DWP pension+modest work pension. Scotland has a different, fair tax regime. Scots pay to mitigate some of the consequences of UK austerity. To alleviate child poverty. Our public services are the best-performing in UK. Higher tax for the wealthier Less for the poorer. Ok?
