On the one hand, Husted's been a cipher since leaving the SecState's office that I can see why Brown thinks he has a chance. On the other, I have a real fear that we have a reverse '18 where the MAGA dingdong on the gubernatorial ticket drags the mundane Republican across the finish line.

This is true, and it's unfortunate, but the Senate map is awful enough that we need a shot at Ohio and Brown gives us one; the place where we have no excuses for nominating geriatrics with ugly foreign policy views is the House

But he lost.

Lost by 3.62% in a red year overperforming Harris by 2.6%. It’ll be tough and a long-shot but he could win with that performance in a strong blue year.

If I recall correctly, previous Senate service is one of the tiebreakers when two senators have served the same amount of time. Is that true?
