The Downballot did post the AP story. My question is why should we assume this matters for 2026 given the likely timeline of appeals. I do expect a take from the Good Doctor @proptermalone.bsky.social given the Blutah dynamic tho.

If they let any portion of SLC/park city stand alone you’ll get a Ben McAdams (who was awesome.). It may not happen in time for 2026, but as a Utah native it’s nice to see hope for some representation.
gotta dig in on the timeline but I don’t immediately see why this wouldn’t be done in time. Could be worth a seat!
Okay, I’m giving this an expected value of 0.4 Dem seats.
So, like a Fetterman but for the House?
I’d guess that we get a pretty good member if they win
Mary Peltola but with minerals instead of fish
I defer to the Blutahthusiast then!
My pessimist take is that the Utah Supreme Court sat on a related issue for over a year last time it was before them (if I recall correctly) @purrtah.bsky.social would know best
Ohio showed how to get around this: repeatedly pass maps that fail to comply with the court until they run out the clock and get a federal court to step in and say any map is better than no map.
