Awhile back I was eating apple sauce while talking to a German friend and he was like "do you eat your apple sauce raw" and I was like "do you fuckin cook yours?! Yeah I eat it when it's apple sauce"
apple sauce tartare
What hath @actioncookbook.com wrought?
SEE?!?
I've had it and it's good
brother what are we doing here
George this is like 1/1000th as weird or gross as the deep lore Germany-Austria-Switzerland bad food creations gets. Germans will make a stir fry that looks like dried rice and boiled vegetables. They put white cheese on toast with pineapple rings and maraschino cherries. This is at least edible lol
Yes but you're defending it!
Listen, are you trying to get the cantonal police called on Nate or what? Next thing you'll do is try to get him to shit on Ovomaltine
To the immigration authorities of the Canton and Republic of Geneva: I actually love all Swiss food unironically and nothing makes me happier than a bottle of the famous milk-whey soft drink Rivella. Not even being facetious here, what do I have to do to convince you I'm not joking
it's too late now
oh shit I had no idea that was made from milk whey- it really is good! I would also kill for the ability to get something like the unsweetened Ovomaltine powder here in the US. I drank so much of that stuff when I visited last year.
yeah fr i've seen mexican "food" in berlin. my therapist still hears about it on the regular
I'm going to buy one at the grocery store tomorrow and spread the good word
yeah I took one look at that and thought the same without ever having it. Sweet apple sauce, savory-acidic bolognese with starch. As long as it's adequately seasoned and cooked, it's gonna be a solid B+.
Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat by Samin Nosrat continues to just dominate in explaining all weird food combos. Strawberry-tomato sauce w/ bucatini & parm. You will love it. Thinking of strawberries and tomatoes as roughly interchangeable is wild but true.
