If there’s one thing Democrats do as awful as Republicans, it’s gerrymandering.

Maryland is the lead Dem state for that. New York did it the right way. North Carolina is the most gerrymandered state for Repubs.

I appreciate there are states worse, but it’s not like IL isn’t ridiculous. It might not look/calculate as bad as some other states with all the population in and around Chicago, but if you see up there, you can see thin sliced districts. And district 13 was created to give Dems a downstate district

Yeah? It gives those of us who are not MAGAts in McHenry County a voice (and believe me - this place is filthy with MAGAts).

I'm not saying it's a bad thing in the current political climate - we need federal anti-gerrymandering laws, not individual state dems trying to "take the high road" because fascists will do the opposite the instant they can.

I totally agree - federal anti gerrymandering is the way to go- but I doubt this will happen.
