If that is what Puerto Rico wish, sure, but statehood would not only provide them with representation, but also the resources they'd need. I would not be opposed if they indeed received autonomy, but they are citizens, and should be represented, just as much as states with more steers than people.

We are not citizens we are puerto ricans who were forced to be citizens at gunpoint. Statehood offers no real benefits only negatives because Puerto Rico's biggest problems are because of its connections to the United States our cost of living is inflated because of the Jones act

Billion dollars loss from companies relocating to avoid the extra taxes. Also As a part of the United States Puerto Rico has the worst GNP to GDP ratio on the planet. Let's not also mention statehood advocates don't have a plan for anything their entire Plan is somehow statement magically fixing
