I love the beginning of Lost World where Crichton sets the scene with here are a few scientific corrections re: dino eyesight and oh yes also reports of Malcom’s death were false.

In spectacular fashion, if I recall: "They are misinformed," was the nice version. "Roxton doesn't know enough anatomy to have sex with his wife," was the mean version. [not particularly muffled sounds of tyrannosaur violence] was the fatal version.

LoL. And in the book, because they used frog DNA to fill gaps in dinosaur DNA, they caused unforseen issues like motion vision & parthenogenesis (ability to change sex in single sex environments to reproduce) resulted in dinosaurs breeding.
