I find that to be a contradiction.

In what way? I don't dispute that the two parties have dealt with them very differently, the Dems have tried to mitigate the worst excesses of post Reagan capitalism, but it hasn't changed the reality for a huge swathe of Americans, the minimum wage is less than 8 bucks for example, they've failed.

Singularly because we haven’t voted them in at a 2/3rds majority for several decades in a row. That means conservatives perform their record levels of obstruction, stopping many of the improvements liberals always bring.

Oh I agree, Obama care being a prime example of the binding limitations on executive power the system encourages. However, there is still too much big money in politics, on both sides of the divide, that harms representation and destroys the very foundation of genuine democracy.

Please stop with “both sides”. That’s like saying there are scientists on both sides of the global warming “debate”, failing to point out that it’s like 1% vs 99%.

So be blind to one sides failings? Really? I'm not equating the failings of the Democrats with the Republicans, nor am I saying they are all the same, but, without question, there are millions of people for whom federal governance does not deliver, you want to ignore that reality for team sports?
