Since when is medicine not a business?
It's a right.....maybe where you are, they ask you how much you've got. Where I live, they ask me what's wrong.
It's not looked at the same way in Canada. That said, a friend has had to bypass waiting for over a year for a hip replacement, due to horrible pain, and is paying a BC doc who travels to Alberta, for her surgery. So there's some elements of privatization but not like the US. (I'm not an expert.)
