Some are uneducated and some are willfully ignorant. They CHOOSE to believe conspiracies over their eyes, ears and reasoning. They grab on to any explanation that supports their culture war, religious beliefs, hate and victimhood. It’s crazy to watch them convince themselves that the absurd is true.
There's also a weird memory loss with covid - family i know, one of adult children was saying how never caught covid, and fam turned round, said "What? You were in hospital in Intensive Care for 2 weeks with covid last year!" And adult child said, oh, oh yeah, yr right. Person isn't maga at all.
