I’m a mathematician Von Neumann was a popularizer of technology as a singularity & was evoking a derivative and where a functions derivative is not defined. An infinite value like “as n -> 0: 1/n” This maths is what backs black singularity metaphor What’s your point? Or is it a singularity 🤣

*black hole singularity metaphor I imagine Von N was evoking math as a metaphor. The real popularizers were Ray Kurzwile - and he was directly evoking black holes Yes - mathematical singularities came before black hole ones. Obviously?
