The “Einstein Visa” Should Mean What It Says • The EB-1 visa was meant to bring the world’s best scientists, innovators, athletes, and cultural leaders to the U.S. • Right now, loopholes let pornography and erotic models qualify under the “arts” category. That cheapens the program.
Congress should tighten the definition of “extraordinary ability in the arts” to recognized fine arts, literature, film, and cultural contributions — not adult entertainment. If models and performers want a path, create a separate visa category for commercial entertainment,
but keep EB-1 true to its name. The “Einstein visa” should honor Einsteins, not porn stars.
