However, gas prices aren’t determined by Presidents, they are determined by supply and demand. Last year, quarter 2 gross domestic product was +3.0%. This year quarter 2 is only +2.6%. Buy less shit, transport less shit, drive to work less to make shit = cheaper gas.

You act like you're a brilliant economist. Fact is the price we pay is impacted by the clowns @ the Exec. branch. When they reduce obstacles, the pipelines run. 2 years into both terms = 2018, average $2.17 gal, 2022 was $3.76. That's a 75% increase term-to-term after 2 years in office.

There are many other factors involved. Inflation from 2018 to 2022 alone was almost 17%. I’ve listened to several people who work in oil interviewed and they all say the same thing. There’s big stacks of signed off contracts to drill on the desks but they only drill when they need oil.
