I can see it in two ways, adults being treated like children, no alcohol allowed unless you hide away like a child given a curfew, be home by 9pm! except it's a 36 yr old father of two. Or This harmless beverage is banned! Obey! Drink only what we permit! Drink only in designated areas! I shudder
While I generally agree that drinking in public bans are over the top, Im going to have to disagree on the idea that alcohol and cigarettes are harmless. That's not really the point here, so I'll leave it at that. I think mostly public drinking bans exist as an excuse for police to harass people
A cigarette and a can of beer are unhealthy but harm noone around them if not used in excess is my point.
